Whiteface Mountain Uphill Bike Race is 8 miles on a 8% Grade Course. The Climb is 3,500' up Scenic Whiteface Mountain Veterans Memorial Highway. New York's 5th highest peak with 360° panoramic views of the Adirondacks, New England, Vermont and Montreal. Starting line is at the Junction of Routes 86 & 431 in Wilmington, New York. USATF certified course

to guarantee t-shirt.
Packet Pick-up: Saturday, June 14 from 3:00pm - 5:00pm at the
Wilmington Town Beach (located on Bowman Lane off
Route 86—just west of the A&W Restaurant).
Four waves divided by age group will be launched.
Each wave will be timed for up to 2 hours.
Transportation Back Down the Mountain: You are responsible for your own transportation back
down the mountain. No one will be allowed to descend until the race is over. All vehicles driving to the summit will be charged the discounted rate of $5 per person (payable at the toll booth).
You can also ride down on
your bike at your own risk, following pacing marshals
(minimum 2 brakes required).
Refreshments: You are responsible for your own fluid needs during the race. No aid stations will be provided
along the route. Fruit, snacks and beverages will be served at the Finish Line. A BBQ (veggie meal available) will be served at the Wilmington Town Beach after the race (included in race fee).
Results: Will be posted by 9:00pm at the Wilmington Town Beach.
Awards: Will be handed out to the men’s and women’s
overall winners and to the top three runners in each
class. (awards are not duplicated)
Other: Bug repellant and warm clothing for the top of the mountain highly recommended. A vehicle will be provided to bring your pack to the top.
King & Queen Of The Mountain: Best combined time for both races will receive free entry into the 2009 Whiteface Mountain Uphill Races.
